The World Institute for Peace (WIP) is set to hold an International Summit on Religious Harmony in Osogbo, Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement issued out by the its Executive Chairman, Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi.
He said “The summit which is with sole aim of fostering international religious peace across the globe and to enhance global harmony among the various religions of the world. It is scheduled to hold on Thursday, February 1st 2018 at Fun-Field Events Centre in Osogbo by 11:00am.”
He added “The summit is with the theme “Religion as a catalyst of peace and unity in Nigeria” is organized in honour of Hon. (Dr) Rashid Pelpou, Former Minister for Youth and Sport, serving member of the Ghanian Parliament. While Keynote Speakers at the event includes Prof. George Onsy from Egypt, Prof. (Mrs.) Moji Taibar Bakare-Odunola from Nigeria, Dr. Deen Dayal from India, and Dr. Samuel Akintunde from Nigeria. The guest speakers at the event are Sheik Muhyideen Salman, the Grand Imam of Offa, Prof. Dapo Olumuyiwa, Ustaz Musbaudeen Orimadegun, and Pastor Seun Fategbe.”
“Special guest expected at the event includes, Bar. Kolapo Alimi, Dr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Dr. Folawiyo Kareem Olajoku, Col. Oyewale Enibukun, Comrade Wale Adebisi and host of others.”
Comrade Lamina Kamiludeen also urge major stakeholders to see the call for religious harmony as a collective task and consequently be available for the summit to channel the way towards exploring religion as tool for peace and security in our nation.
