Current Deputy Governor, Professor Olusola Kolapo has emerged as the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party for the July 14 gubernatorial election in Ekiti state.
The Fayose preferred candidate defeated his only opponent and former Minister of works, Mr. Dayo Adeyeye in the keenly contested primaries of the ruling party in the state.
Eleka as popularly known polled 1,191 votes out of the total of 1,196 to defeat the immediate past publicity secretary of the party.
Chairman of the primaries and Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa announced Professor Eleka as the winner and the flag bearer of PDP.
