The governorship aspirant under the platform of Social Democratic Party, Otunba Kolawole Yemisi Oladeji has said that former Deputy Governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has not joined their party.
Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, Oladeji stated this that Omisore has not undergone the laid down procedure of joining SDP as embedded in its constitution.
He said, “People are saying Senator Omisore has joined SDP but I have not seen that. The constitution of our party clearly stated the protocols of joining our party and it is obvious that Senator Omisore has not undergone the protocols.
“As we speak, I have not seen his name in any register of the SDP. He has not joined us.
Reacting to the possibility of him undergoing the protocol and eventually seeking governorship ticket of the party, Oladeji said he doesn’t see the former chairman of Senate appropriation committee as a threat to his ambition as his manifestoes will speak and convince people for him.
He said, “What is the pedigree of Omisore? What solution s does he have to the present mess we have in the state? The problem on ground is not about one personality; it is about bringing solution to the problems we are facing. I’m never afraid of any personality neither do I see him as a threat to my ambition. But Omisore will have to follow the procedure that our constitution mandates every intending member.
“If he joins and our members see him as the best, so be it but I believe I’m better than anybody.
