Dr. Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi on Tuesday, condemned the latest killing by suspected Fulani herdsmen in some communities in Plateau State.

InsightMedia gathered that some suspected herdsmen killed over 86 persons during an attack on Razat, Ruku, Nyarr, Kura and Gana-Ropp villages of Gashish District in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, over the weekend.

The Director- General of the Oyemomi Campaign Organisation, Comrade Ajiboye Omotayo, made the condemnation in a statement in the Campaign office in Osogbo.

Oyemomi who is a gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the APC, condoled with the affected families and urged the Federal Government to address the issue of killings in the country.

“With great sadness, Dr. Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi joins the world and fellow Nigerians in condemning the gruesome murder in some states of the federation, especially the most recent killings in Plateau State by suspected herdsmen.

Oyemomi, however, noted with concern that such killing had continued despite of numerous repeated appeals to the problem.

“Dr. Oyemomi is appealing to Mr President to stand by his promise of protecting human rights and fighting human rights abuses, ” Ajiboye said
