The political unrest in Imo State reached another stage today as the state House of Assembly impeached the deputy governor, Prince Eze Madumere.
Madumere was impeached by 19 members out of the 27 members of the state House of assembly.
The Speaker of the House, Acho Ihim, said the impeachment followed the report of a seven-man panel constituted by the state Chief Judge to investigate allegations of gross misconduct against Madumere.
Madumere has in the recent times had his relationship with his boss, Governor Rochas Okorocha in respect to his governorship ambition.
