Ebonyi Citizens has endorsed a journalist Prince Agwu Chijioke Agwu,to represent Onicha West Constituency in the Ebonyi
State House of Assembly come 2019.
Transform Ebonyi Citizens Initiative (TEBCI) a.k.a Ebonyi Citizens in their executive meeting held on July 7,2018 at Monabliz hotel and suites, kprikpri, Abakaliki endorsed a journalist, Prince Agwu Chijioke Agwu who made his intension known to the group at the meeting which the group after some evaluative process find him worthy to represent the good people of Onicha at the state House of Assembly.
In the pursuit of home made and leaders from among us, who understands us, our plights and the reality on ground,youths with impeccable character, frontier, breakout of the box thinkers, critical and caring thinkers, midwife leaders and oratory leaders, Ebonyi citizens and good people of Onicha west, Onicha LGA should look no further as we present to you a honest, sincere, diligent and advocate of justice young lad to represent the good people of Onicha west, Onicha LGA at the Ebonyi state House of Assembly come 2019.
Prince Agwu Chijioke Agwu a graduate of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), as a political scientist was a journalist and as someone who has been saddled with the activity of gathering,
assessing, creating, and presenting news
and information for public consumption had gotten a lot of experience as regards to the needs, values, beliefs and expectations of his people.
The group in their statement commends the courage, confidence and the desire of the young prince of Onicha autonomous community for his interest in the leadership, law making and welfare of the good people of Onicha and Ebonyi state at large and encourage other youths of the state to take such bold steps by coming to the center stage of politics to contest and hold political positions instead of “pay me and I kill” politics (thuggery).
The group in a statement signed by its President and Secretary Nwokwu Daniel c and Engr Uduma Abani Emmanuel respectively, and made available to newsmen on Monday morning further advised the people of Onicha west constituency to massively give their votes to the journalist citing that the prince who has been into one of the most relevant component
in a democratic society which is journalism that requires a lot of investigative process,combined with his study of politics as a political scientist without doubt will make a good legislation as it’s his area of professionalization and urge the good people of Onicha west constituency to give him all the support if finally given the ticket by his party, People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
The statement read’s in parts ” the people of Onicha and the leadership of People’s Democratic Party(PDP) has to show fully the inclusion and encouragement of youths in their party by giving their tickets to the people’s mandate, Prince Agwu Chijioke just heeded to the voice of his people and it’s left for the party to do the needful during their primaries as the people of Onicha west has given him their mandate unopposed.
In their statement, the group President said, ” Prince Agwu Chijioke Agwu is the best for this position as political scientist and a journalist, he doesn’t need to be told the reality on ground nor the pains,desires and expectations of the people or what a good law maker is all about, he is not like those who get their knowledge of politics from motor Parks, Okada riders or from Drivers and Conductors while in the bus, this what he studied and have been serving the public as a journalist and as someone from royal family have learnt how to make and impress the people.
For these reasons, Transform Ebonyi Citizens Initiative (TEBCI) endorses Prince Agwu Chijioke Agwu for the Onicha west state constituency.
