The Deputy Governorship candidate of Action Democratic Party, Professor Adeolu Durotoye and The Attorney General of Osun State, Dr Ajiboye Basiru respectively cast their votes at Ward 7 unit
Professor Durotoye who arrived the polling booth at exactly 9:27am verified his name on the voters’ register that has already been pasted by the INEC staff.
Durotoye proceeded to meet the staff, did his electronic verification and cast his vote.
Speaking to the newsmen shortly after exercising his franchise, the candidate expressed some doubts over the slow working of the card readers which he said took him ten minutes to get him accredited.
He said, “The conduct of the election has been peaceful but the issue of card reader is giving me some concerns. It works so slowly.
“It took about ten minutes to get my thump print verified. The woman in my front complained of the same thing. This is really giving me concerns.”

Also shortly before casting his vote, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Dr Ajibola Basiru commend the large turnout of the voters noting that the present administration has created a peaceful atmosphere whereby electorates can without fear of harassment, intimidation or violence.
He said, “In 2014, we had election here where people were intimidated and harassed. But now, the APC government has created a different atmosphere for the conduct of the election. People can participate without fear and the security is at the best.
