Dr. Mahmoud Halilu, brother to the First lady, Aisha Buhari has taken his governorship nomination form to President Muhammadu Buhari for endorsement.
Halilu has shown interest in running for the topmost seat in Adamawa state under the platform of the All Progressives Congress that also has the incumbent governor, Bindow Jibrila seeking second term in office.
Party chiefs in Adamawa believe that his ambition is being sponsored by those close to the seat of power in Abuja.
InsightMedia has last week reported how Aisha Buhari’s brother’s ambition is causing a serious crack in the Adamawa APC.
