House of Representatives member, representing Irepodun/ Isin/Ekiti/Oke Ero constituency of Kwara State, Hon. Funke Adedoyin has been reportedly dead.
It was gathered that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker died in an Abuja hospital during treatment of an ailment suspected to be cancer.
The death, which reportedly occurred on Friday, was not yet announced by the family as it was being kept away from her aged father.
A sister to the late lawmaker, Mrs. Omolola Olobayo confirmed the death of her sister when contacted on the telephone by the Punch.
Olobayo who is a former Chairman of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Kwara and Kogi chapter said her sister died in an Abuja hospital after returning from treatment abroad.
The late Adedoyin was a former Minister of Youth Development and former Minister of State for Health and daughter of Nigerian industrialist, Samuel Adedoyin.
The late lawmaker, before her death, was also aspiring to return to the National Assembly in the 2019 general elections.
