The National Union of Nigerian Students has appointed Aremo Dotun Hassan, Esq as the Head, legal directorate of the union.
This was contained in a letter signed by Adebayo Kayode the General Secretary
NUNS on Friday, a copy of which was obtained by InsightMedia in Abuja.
The union said it created the directorate in its bid to ensure that all Nigerian students have access to free legal services to battle oppression from any person or authority.
The statement also gave Hassan the free will to build his legal team.
It reads, “Fellow Nigerian students, In pursuance of our determination to advance Aluta with diplomacy devoid of rascality and nuisance tendencies, our leadership has establish Directorate of Legal Affairs with subsequent appointment Bar Dotun Hassan Esq as Head of Directorate of Legal Affairs.
“This will afford all Nigerians student free legal service to challenge any injustice melted on them by individuals, groups or authorities in the competent court of law.
“This we adopted to ensure we jawjaw more than we war war as our resolve to change the principle of constructive Aluta from 3Cs to 4Cs remain intact.
Now we shall operates Consultation, Consolidation, Complementation before Confrontation.
The union encouraged the students populace to utilize the opportunity availed them by the union.
“Please feel free to utilize this golden opportunity. All oppressor of Nigerian Students must seized to exist. The return of ideological student unionism is real, maximum cooperation with the legal team head is sacrosanct to actualise the aims of the directorate.”
