African foremost entertainer Tuface Innocent Idibia and representatives of the National Democratic Institute, an international NGO, partners of the United State Agency for International Development, USAID and United Kingdom Agency for International Development UKAID, have affirmed the Osun APC Governorship Candidate Mr Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola as a peace icon whom other Politicians vying for political offices must emulate.
This was disclosed to Newsmen by Mr Innocent Idibia after the completion of his tour of the state of Osun alongside his ‘Vote Not fight’ Initiative international partners who were in the State to advocate for peaceful and violence free elections in the upcoming governorship polls.
A press statement by the Gboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation which was signed by it’s Spokesperson Dayo Fasola quoted Mr Tuface Innocent Idibia, “Having transversed the State of Osun and met with major stakeholders ahead of the September 22nd Governorship elections, the rest of my team and I can boldly say Mr Gboyega Oyetola is a peace Icon indeed. We had heard a lot and researched the personalities involved in this process ahead of our visit to Osun and I am glad to say Mr Gboyega Oyetola exceeded all expectations. The programs his Campaign Organisation has in place to engage the youths productively and measures to discourage thuggery and hooliganism are highly encouraging’.
The Country director of National Democratic Institute, Mr Aubrey McCutcheon in his presentation of NDI electoral documentation and guidelines to the guber candidate disclosed that Mr Gboyega Oyetola as a politician has met his Organisation ideas and he is one worthy to emulate.
“I am glad to be a part of this process and having met and discuss with you, I am more appreciative of your efforts on ensuring your side of the divide maintains law and order for the upcoming elections” he said.
Mr Gboyega Oyetola reassured his readiness to take on the challenges ahead and build on the laudable foundations laid by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to steer the state to greater heights.
