The Social Democratic Party, SDP has accused the two leading parties in Osun state, All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP of resorting to new ways of buying votes from electorate.
A House of Assembly Candidate in Olohunda State Constituency in Osun state under SDP, Hon. Saheed Akinloye made the allegation at Owode polling unit, Osogbo after casting his vote.
Hon. Akinloye explained that, the effort of INEC to curb the excesses of politicians in vote buying was effective, but alleged that the two leading parties have devised another means of buying votes.
He said, ” I must commend the INEC and security operatives for curbing against vote buying and to a large extent, the campaign and exercise has been useful and peaceful.
“But the two parties APC and PDP have devised another means of vote buying by writing their names down and pay them behind. But I can assure you, SDP will win this election because of our grassroots credibility and being for the people”.
But an ADP chieftain in the area, Mr. Leye Odetoyinbo maintained that, the process was peaceful.
