The All Progressive Congress senatorial candidate for Osun West senatorial district, Engr Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo, today commences a four-day tour of the entire senatorial district just as he promised responsible representation of the people of the senatorial district when elected.

A statement by the Oriolowo Media Office, which was made available to newsmen early on Thursday, disclosed that the tour would afford the candidate of the APC the opportunity to again have direct discussions and interaction with critical stakeholders in the district especially on the issues that top their concerns as 2019 elections draw near.

The statement, which was signed by Barrister Fatihulah Adegoke on behalf of the Oriolowo Media Office, stated that Oriolowo is fully prepared to use the instrument of legislation to better the lives of the people of the district.

The tour kicks off with Thursday (today) visit to Irewole Local Government Area of the district.

Apart from Irewole, the details of the tour show that Oriolowo and his team will be in Isokan and Ayeedade Local Government today covering the entire Irewole/Ayedaade/Isokan Federal Constituency.

On Friday, the team will visit Ede North and Ede South local government areas while on Monday, it would be the turn of Ejigbo and Egbedore.

The tour would be rounded off with Iwo Federal constituency with visits to Iwo, Ayedire and Ola-Oluwa local government areas.

The statement also quoted Oriolowo as lamenting what he called the unfortunate and poor representation that has been the hallmarks of the Osun West senatorial district in about two years now.

“Simply put, while not wanting to dwell on the unfortunate situation where it has dawned on us that our district has been lacking in quality representation, the only opportunity our people have now is to queue behind us and ensure that we change the status quo.

“We promise our people that responsible representation that will guarantee abundance of life and prosperity. What we have done in recent years touching the lives of the ordinary people especially in the rural areas remain fresh in the minds of the people,” he was quoted as saying.
