The problem of epileptic power supply facing the ancient town of Ikire in Irewole local government areas of Osun State will soon be an issue of past, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company assured.
The Managing Director of the company, John Donnachie made this assurance during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Alabi in his office in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Mr Alabi had earlier frowned at what he described as ‘I don’t care attitude’ way the company is handling the power supply to the area and no improvement despite several complaints to them.
The Deputy Governor warned that the present administration in the state will not tolerate any setback to the development of its people from any quarters.
He also expressed his unhappiness over the perpetual darkness the people of the communities have been adding that it is having a great impact on their socio-economic development.
Responding, the MD apologized on behalf of the company and assured the deputy governor of a significant improvement before the Christmas and New Year celebration.
