The candidate of the Action Democratic Party for Osun West senatorial in the 2019 elections, Omooba Dotun Babayemi has observes that the true message of Christmas is love which was firstly demonstrated by God to mankind with the of Jesus Christ.
The leading candidate stated this in his special Christmas message to all Christians on Tuesday.
He said, “In giving us His Son therefore, God Almighty has demonstrated to us that our salvation and contentment on earth can only be guaranteed by the sacrificial love that Jesus Christ represents to us. Sacrificial love is the kind of love that comes at a huge cost to the giver and at no expense to the receiver.”
He further urged Christians and Muslims alike to touch their neighbours with love during this Christmas as love is the only bond that can guarantee unity, peace and progress in Nigeria.
Omooba Babayemi also urged Nigerians to use the opportunity offered by the feast of Christmas to reflect on their country and seek God’s intervention in Nigeria’s political leadership as the 2019 general elections draw closer.
He added that the ADP remains the credible alternative and admonished Osun people to give their mandate to them during the coming elections.
