Honourable representing Ijesha South Federal Constituency and candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Osun East senatorial district, Ajibola Famurewa has described the death of former Nigeria international and secretary general of Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi as a monumental loss to the people of Ijesha land, football family and the country as a whole.
Famurewa stated this in Osogbo shortly after attending stakeholders meeting of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
He said the departed football icon was a great administrator whose knowledge and experience will be missed in the footballing world.
“As a representative of the people, I commiserate with the family of the late football administrator, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi whose death was announced moments ago.
“He was great footballer and football administrator whose knowledge will be greatly missed in the footballing world and the country.
“His demise is indeed a monumental loss for for our country as a whole and the football world and people of Ijesha in particular”.
He called on NFF to give a befitting burial to the late Ogunjobi and take good care of his family as he had used his life to serve humanity through football.
