President Muhammadu Buhari has declined assent to anothee five bills sent to him by the National Assembly.
The President communicated his decision to reserve his signatures on the bills to the Senate through a letter to the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki which was read at the plenary on Wednesday.
He cited different reasons for rejected bills
The affected Bills are Nigeria Film Corporation Bill, Immigration (Amendment) Bill, Climate Change Bill, Chartered Institute of Pension Practitioners Bill and Digital Rights and Freedom Bill.
With this, the total number of rejected bills by the President since July 2015 is now 26.
Meanwhile, the Senate has adjourned plenary for two weeks to avail lawmakers ample time to work on the 2019 appropriation bill.
