The Bishop of Osun Catholic Diocese, Most Reverend John Oyejola has said that the present administration in the state is a product of the masses going by the kind of the person who is at the helms of affairs of the administration.

He described Mr Gboyega Oyetola as calm and cool headed personality that would be a blessing to the state.

Bishop Oyejola said it is in the character and experience of a person that would determine the quality of leadership and service he or she would render to the people and society.

The Cleric stated this on Sunday during a service marking the third Sunday of the Lenten season held at St Benedict Catholic Church, Osogbo, the state capital.

The cleric who recalled his earlier encounter with Governor Oyetola described him as a complete gentle and humble man whose door as a Governor is always open to dialogue with readiness to listen to advice and complaints.

He said any leader that has the heart of love and listening ears for his people shall always have the support of people that would made him to succeed.

Bishop Oyejola used the forum to commend the present administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for living up to expectations since assumption of office with the zeal and commitment he has shown to the betterment of the people of Osun.

He used service to pray for the success of Oyetola’s Government and for the continued peace, stability and progress in the state.

The Osun Catholic Bishop had earlier in his sermon enjoined Christians to rededicate themselves to the service of God especially at this Lenten season which he described as a season of reconciliation with God.

He said as Christians, they should always be ready for challenges as there is no believer without his or her own cross.

The third Sunday service of the Lenten season had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi alongside the Secretary to the state government Prince Wole Oyebamiji and a member of the state House of Assembly representing Egbedore state constituency Hon. Abiodun Awolola among others.
