He appreciated the Army General and his team for ensuring that they are in Delta State to put in place a befitting burial for one of their own, Gen. David Ejoor (retd) and the show of love the army authority has for the state in its collaborative efforts in assisting other security agencies in dousing crises in the state.
“We are very proud of you as professional soldiers of what you are doing in the country; even at this moment in the North East and North West, where we have couple of insurgencies and we urge you to do all in your powers to ensure that the insurgency in the Northern part is brought to a halt because we do not have another country we can call our own,” Otuaro stated.
He appealed to the Nigerian Army to ensure that the Chibok girls, which were taken hostage five year ago are found and reunited with their families.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, in his remarks, thanked Acting Governor Otuaro and the people of Delta State for receiving them as they pay their last respect to Gen. David Ejoor who passed recently.
“We want to appreciate the Delta State government for this kind gesture; the Nigerian Army will work within the confines of official responsibility to ensure a total security for the state and total peace and needed security for the entire country. Your support is quite great and it is a moral booster.
