The Deputy Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi has given kudos to the management team of the State of Osun Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) headed by renowned educationist, Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole over the board’s effort to give the students of the state an all inclusive education and exposure.
The Deputy Governor made this known last week Wednesday 27th of March, 2019 on his way to Abuja at Ibadan Airport where he ran into the students of the State of Osun who were on excursion to the Airport for sight seeing.
Mr Alabi enjoined the pupils to make good use of the knowledge gathered during the excursion to build their future.
He said they should look forward to having interest in various career opportunities they saw during the excursion to become one of them, like Water Engineer, Pilot, Medical Doctor, Lawyer and so on in order to become a useful Osun citizen and Nigeria in future.
Earlier in her welcome speech, the Director Middle School Affairs, who lead the team on the excursion, Mrs Arinola Oladimeji thanked the Deputy Governor for identifying with pupils and while she also gave kudos to the state of Osun especially the Osun SUBEB under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Fatai Kolawole for the golden opportunity to embark on such a wonderful excursion with about one thousand three hundred (1,300) Osun School Pupils to visit Asa Dam, Ilorin International Airport, Asejire Dam and Ibadan Airport respectively.
She advised the pupils to make judicious use of the knowledge and experience gathered during the excursion to their life while asking parents to give support to their children to go on excursion whenever the need to do so arises because of the life exposure and academic benefits embedded in it.
Parts of the highlights of the event were, the Deputy Governor called some of the school pupils to share their experience of the excursion among whom was Abiola Reinhand Ayotomiwa of grade 9,from Local Authority Middle School, Isokun Ilesa and taking photographs.
