It was a chaotic scene Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recruitment aptitude test across the country.

Reports from various centres spoke of confusion as hordes of shortlisted applicants turned up to write the test, only to find out that it was not well-organised.

A 48-second video clip recorded and uploaded by Daily Trust newspaper showed desperate jobseekers scaling walls and jumping through windows to get into the examination hall in Kano.

Similarly, photos by Channels Television showed rowdy scenes at an examination centre in Abuja, the nation’s capital, which, in the words of the station, “showed a lack of organisation and sanity”.

“The scenes bring to memory the shoddy preparations that led to the 2014 Nigeria Immigration recruitment tragedy,” according to the station.
