The Director, Center for Black Culture and International Understanding, CBCIU, Professor Siyan Oyeweso today, congratulates Christian faithful across Osun and Nigeria over this year’s Christmas celebration, urging them to be united.
Oyeweso in a statement sent to InsightMedia on Wednesday described the season as historic, calling on Christians to spread love and maintain peace as symbolised by the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Ede-born Academic Don urged Nigerians to come together and pray for the country against the myriads of challenges facing it.
He stated that at a time like this, Nigerians should come together and celebrate with one another as well as pray for their leaders to lead them well for the good of the country.
He said: “I wish to join millions of citizens to congratulate my Christian brothers and sisters for witnessing and marking this year’s Christmas peacefully.
“Christmas is a season of great joy: a time for remembering the past and hoping for the future. May the glorious message of peace and love fill you with joy during this wonderful season.
“I admonish my Christian brothers and sisters to pray for our continuous survival in peace and unity as a country.”
