The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday morning shut down all orientation camps nationwide over fears of the coronavirus.
The 2020 Batch A corps members began their orientation on 10th March and were expected to be in their camps for 21 days, but as it was learnt on Wednesday, that they will be handed their posting letter today and proceed to their places of primary assignment, just one week after camping.
The coronavirus has so far killed over 7000 persons globally and three cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, although no death has been recorded in the country.
Many concerned Nigerians have called on NYSC to postpone the camping before it started but the scheme assured Nigerians of adequate preparation.
