The Supreme Court of Nigeria has refused the application filed by the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar to tender more evidence against President Bola Tinubu.

The documents are the certificate of President Bola Tinubu obtained from the Chicago State University, United States.

Justice John Okoro delivered the judgement on Thursday.

The Apex Court panel said the time for amendment of petition by the PDP has lapsed, stating that the court cannot exceed the 180 days provision of the constitution.

Justice Okoro said the time for filing of petition is 21 days after declaration of results. The lower court will by now have no jurisdiction to entertain the said documents, so the supreme court can not entertain such.
