In a remarkable commemoration of the International Day of the Girl 2023, a non-profit organization in Osun State, Future Builders Initiative (FBI) has unveiled its newest endeavor, the Girls Leading Change (GLC) project. With a commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, FBI has taken a significant step in promoting gender equality and female empowerment.
On the 11th of October, 2023, the Future Builders Initiative team visited the Royal Liberty School, located in Owode-Ede, Osun State, with an ambitious mission to equip young girls with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to lead change in the world.
The Girls Leading Change project aims to address various challenges faced by girls, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future ahead. The initiative includes training programs, mentorship sessions, and workshops that focus on leadership, personal development, and life skills. These sessions were meticulously designed to empower the young participants and encourage them to reach their full potential.
Future Builders Initiative envisions a world where girls are at the forefront of change, driving innovation, and making impactful contributions in their communities. With the launch of the Girls Leading Change project, they are taking a substantial step towards achieving this goal.
During the launch event, the young amazons of the Royal Liberty School actively engaged in discussions, practical exercises, and interactive sessions. Faridah Igbayilola, a Programme Officer with Future Builders Initiative, stated, “Our organization is dedicated to fostering a future where every girl has the opportunity to lead change, irrespective of the challenges they face.
