Social commentator, Reno Omokri has stated that the mass of conducted by the Kano State government is better than the popular reality show, Big Brother Naija
Omokri, while reacting to condemnation that has trailed the Friday mass wedding in Kano, said the arrangement is morally okay that the BBNaija.
He wrote on X (formerly Twitter) “Speaking for myself, I think mass weddings of willing people are better than what we engage in in the name of Big Brother. But that is my opinion, and it should not matter. As long as that is what the people of Kano want and have practised, whether the Government in power is PDP, APC, or NNPP, then we non Kanawa should accept it and drink water if we can’t stomach it.
“BBNaija is Haram in Kano. But they don’t interfere when Southerners engage in that practice where nudity and open intercourse, as well as indecent fights are celebrated and beamed to millions of impressionable youths. So, if the government and people of Kano decide to help single women find husbands to increase societal happiness and reduce the temptation for immorality, we Southerners should live and let live.
“If we Southerners are concerned with propriety, immorality, and decency, we should tackle what happens at night in Unilag and at almost all universities in Southern Nigeria.”
