Governor Godwin Obaseki has nominated Omobayo Marvelous Godwin his new deputy governor.
Godwin, a 37-year-old engineer, will succeed Philip Shaibu who was impeached by House of Assembly on Monday.
Godwin is currently undergoing screening at the House of Assembly and guests are already gathering at the Government House for swearing in.
Shaibu and Obaseki fell apart following the former’s insistence to run for governorship in the 2024 election.
