Members of Nyanbilolu Ruling House in Ekosin, Odo-Otin local government area of Osun State on Saturday held a peaceful protest in the community to sensitize residents that the family is one and will soon produce Akosin of Ekosin.

The family members led by Pa Bowofola Abraham converged at their family yard before moving round the town.

Armed with leaves, the family members gathered at their house and stormed the streets at 10:30am in company of some security agencies who provided cover to avoid breakdown of law and orders.

At every junction, the protesters addressed residents who trooped out to show solidarity to their course.

After a long walk round the community in company of security operatives, the members converged at the roundabout near the Palace to pass their message seeking justice.

Speaking with Insight Links TV, Prince Hezekiah Ilufoye explained that the rally was to sensitize members of the community that the ruling house has no division and is working round the clock to produce the Akosin.

“We’re here to tell our people that we the original and undivided Nyanbilolu Ruling House will give them the Akosin that will be for them. We believe justice will be served and we’re just sensitizing people.”

Ilufoye called on government to do the needful by appointing a monarch from the Nyanbilolu ruling house in line with the registered gazette.

The head of the Family, Pa Bowofola Abraham dispel rumour of another Nyanbilolu Ruling House, stating “we don’t have two Nyanbilolu in Ekosin. We’re the only one. What we want the government to do is to ensure they pick a crowned Prince from our house.

Also Prince Taiwo Abraham corroborated the family head.

The stool of Akosin has been a subject of controversy following the decision of Osun State government to appoint Kazali Olagunju and presented him with instruments of office at the office of the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Osogbo.
