Beneficiaries of the Benson Adeyemi Foundation (BAF) free Medical Test could not hide their joy at the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central Investiture
The foundation partners Rotary Club to offered free medical test at the inauguration of the 10th president and first female leader, Rotarian Mutiyat Oyediran held in Osogbo the Osun State capital over the weekend.
Praises and commendations from those who benefited from the medical services provided were part of what added glamour to the event.
One of the beneficiaries, Opeyemi Omolade said, “I’m so happy to receive this because I’ve been wanting to do it but had no money. God bless the foundation.”
Another beneficiary, Adaradenu Musbau, remarked, “This is a great privilege for us. This has really helped me because I’ve not been taking my health seriously, but now I will.”
The event, held in Osogbo, also featured an award ceremony honoring notable personalities.
The medical outreach was a key highlight, sponsored by Rotarian Benson Adeyemi, Executive Director of the Benson Adeyemi Foundation, and Director of Global Goals at the United Nations Association USA Chicago.
Adeyemi has a long history of supporting community health initiatives.
“In collaboration with the Rotary Club of Osogbo Central, we are here to provide free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, along with consultations with medical doctors,” he stated.
The event underscored the Rotary Club’s mission of giving back to society and promoting peace.
While speaking, the President emphasized the club’s past efforts, including vocational support for widows and palliatives for petty traders. “We assist the needy and promote peace in society. Under my leadership, we will do more,” she promised.
She added, “We celebrate personalities excelling in their careers and give back to the community.”
In an interview with our reporter, Omotayo Benson Adeyemi, head of the finance department at the Benson Adeyemi Foundation, highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare. “One of our major goals is to ensure everyone has access to good health. We commend the Osun state government for their support in improving the health sector,” she said.
The award ceremony recognized individuals for their contributions to society.
