Controversial Nigerian musician, Portable, has called on embattled crossdresser, Bobrisky, to seek forgiveness and reevaluate his lifestyle.
Portable made this plea after Bobrisky revealed that he was contemplating suicide following allegations that he had paid N15 million in bribery to EFCC officers. The allegations were reportedly made in a leaked audio recording shared by popular social media critic, VeryDarkMan, on Tuesday.
In the recording, Bobrisky alleged that singer Falz had contacted him about obtaining a presidential pardon through his father, Femi Falana. The viral audio sparked public outrage and calls for an investigation into alleged corruption within the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Responding to the controversy on Thursday, Bobrisky posted on his social media page that he was struggling with suicidal thoughts.
In response to Bobrisky’s post, Portable advised the crossdresser not to consider suicide, but instead to seek forgiveness from God and embark on a path of redemption. In a video shared on Instagram, Portable said, “Bobrisky, life is risky. God doesn’t want sinners to die. Tell him to repent. If you die as a sinner, you’re going to hell. Beg God to forgive you.”
Portable also urged Bobrisky to seek forgiveness from God, saying that all he needed to do was ask for forgiveness of his sins. He added that if Bobrisky repents, he will be able to enjoy the world.
It is worth noting that Bobrisky was previously sentenced to six months in prison in April 2024 for his involvement in the abuse of the Nigerian currency.
