The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday commissioned several developmental projects across Irewolede and Antakiti communities both in Olorunda local government area the State.
The micro projects, which includes borehole water, toilets, road infrastructure and healthcare facility were facilitated by the Osun State Agency for Community and Social Development (CSDA) under the Osun
Representing the Governor, the Commissioner for Rural Development and Community Affairs, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, highlighted the significance of these initiatives in the state’s rural development agenda.
He emphasized Governor Adeleke’s commitment to advancing Osun State by providing priority needs of the rural communities.
He said , “Apart from water, we also have two toilets, and I’m promising to build a maternity hospital for this constituency. By God’s grace, this is just the beginning of many great things for our community and Osun at large.”
The General Manager of CSDA, Mrs. Funmi Abokede, expressed her gratitude to Governor Adeleke for supporting the agency in delivering its core mandates.
She acknowledged the challenges faced during the project’s implementation and urged the people of the community to take proper care of the facilities.
“I want to implore you all to take care of these facilities for long-term usage, and they should be properly maintained,” Mrs. Abokede urged the community members.
Alhaji Nurudeen Emiloju, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Community and Social Development Projects, praised the collaborative spirit of the community, which he noted had greatly contributed to the success of the projects.
“The people respect each other in this community, which enhances effectiveness and cooperation. They are also happy about the achievements of Governor Ademola Adeleke because they didn’t expect such a significant project in their area,” Emiloju said.
Hon. Femi Kolade, former Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, also extended his appreciation to Governor Adeleke for his continuous efforts to improve the lives of the people in Osun State.
Thursday’s commissioning is the second phase to be carried out by Osun CSDA in the space of three weeks.
