A non governmental organization in Osun State, Tobest Liberation Movement and Empowerment Initiative during the week visited the State General Hospital, Asubiaro in Osogbo to support the hospital and also the patients in the facility.
According to a statement by the Coordinator of the organization, Comrade Hassan Owolabi, the gesture was to bring about relief for the patients and also offer them support and words of encouragement.
Owolabi said TLM members engaged with patients, offered words of encouragement and donated items such as provisions, toiletries, etc. The organization also gave cash to support the treatments of patients.
Owolabi said, “During the visit, TLM members engaged with patients, offering words of encouragement and hope. The distributed items included toiletries, nutritional provisions, and cash assistance aimed at easing the burden on both patients and their families. In addition to assisting patients, the visit recognized the dedication of healthcare workers at Asubiaro Hospital, honoring their commitment to serving the community.
“I expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the initiative. “Our goal is to extend a hand of care and compassion to those who need it most,” he stated.
“We hope this small gesture will uplift spirits and remind our community that they are not alone.”
He said the outreach aligns with TLM’s ongoing mission to provide support to vulnerable communities and foster a more inclusive and compassionate society. The organization looks forward to future partnerships and initiatives that continue to impact lives positively.”
