Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Ahmadu Finitri has been declared the winner of governorship election in Adamawa state after a supplementary election in Thursday.
Finitri defeated the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Jibrilla Bindow.
FIntiri polled a total of 376,552 votes while Bindow secured 336,386 votes, amounting to a margin of 40,166.
Before the rerun, the PDP candidate was leading with a margin of 32,476 needed less than 9,000 out of about 40,000 cancelled votes.
However, the result went in his favour as he polled 9,081 votes at the supplementary exercise to Bidow’s 1,391
