Men of Nigerian Army and Boko Haram terrorists engaged gun duel in Damaturu, capital of Yobe state, on Sunday evening.
The insurgents had attempted to invade the town but the troops reportedly sent them back to their hideout after a battle that lasted hours.
A military source said many of the insurgents were killed, including two of their commanders, but TheCable could not independently verify this claim.
