The Chairman of Olorunda Local Government, Hon. Muniru Anisu has dismissed the petition against him by his councillors alleging him of financial fraud.
In his reaction in Osogbo on Tuesday, the council boss described the petition as a product of political bitterness and an attempt to soil his good image.
According to him, “I am the chairman of this local government and nothing can change it till the end of my tenure. My advice is that those playing politics of bitterness should desist from it before they face the wrath of God.”
When asked if the petition has some political undertones, Anisu responded affirmatively, stating of his colleagues were engineered by some political leaders against his personality in Osogbo, adding that “their evil act would be exposed when it is time.”
“Some selfish party leaders are using some parliamentarians within my government against me, I will be glad if the State Assembly led by Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye can call us to explain to the world how I managed the resources since the inception of my administration because I have nothing to hide,” Anisu Concluded.
The Councillors have earlier on Tuesday released a public petition signed by four members against the Chairman. They alleged him of financial misappropriation, fraud and lack of transparency in running the council.
