Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday stormed the two houses of the former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani in Abuja to conduct a search.
An aide of the ex-lawmaker, Suleiman Ahmed, revealed that two houses of the former lawmaker in Abuja were searched.
“The started the search at the Maitama residence of the senator before heading to Wuse 2,” Ahmed told TheCable.
Ahmed said the Operatives arrived at the Maitama’s residence of Sani around 2pm and after about one and half hour moved to the house at Wuse 2 around 3:30pm.
Sani was arrested late last month by the EFCC over an allegation of extortion from Alhaji Sani Dauda of ASD motors.
The Federal High Court in Abuja gave the anti-graft agency permission to detain him for fourteen days during which investigation will be conducted on the case.
