Akeju said this on Tuesday, March 17th, in his office at Government house (Abere) Osogbo, when he received Executive members of Osun Online Media practitioners, (OOMPA), who paid him a courtesy visit.
Hon. Akeju described the people moving from one particular political party to the other as a formalized movement, stating that they have been descretly working with the PDP since 2018.
According to him this Government of Oyetola has been exemplenary doing well to touch all areas; Education, health, Agriculture, security and road construction, etc.. And maintain the project adopted from the consensus party in the state(SDP).
He commended the new technology in the media house, stating that the world is going global and online has come to stay.
In his address, the chairman of OOMPA, Jare Tiamiyu said that members of the Osun Online Media, in the state are professionals, registered fellow and ready to work towards curbing the menace of fake news anytime, anyday.
He said the purpose of the visit is to create a working relationship with with the Commissioner, for easy access to information.
The Publicity Secretary, Bright Olorungbotemi, while introducing the members, express our profound gratitude to the commissioner for deeming it important granting us this audience.
Also present during the visit are; Tajudeen Hammed; Secretary, Ismail Kolapo; Treasurer, Idowu Yusuff; Welfare Officer and Olutunmbi Olufunke Adeola, and Odunlade Adesola.
In his reaction, the factional Chairman of the SDP, Dr Bayo Faforiji said the Commissioner is “economical with the truth”, stating that he had led over 80% of the SDP members out of coalition in October 2019.
Faforiji added that the remaining 20% has also been divided into two by Barrister Ojo Williams who will be in Ibadan today to officially join the PDP.
According to him, “Akeju is just being economical with the truth. Ask him to call a meeting of SDP in Osun State today and see how many people will be in attendance. The truth is that I have taken over 80% of the SDP out of the coalition in October 2019.
“Today, Barrister Ojo Williams, who has been with Iyiola Omisore will be leaving with about half of the 20% left in their camp. We’re set to join the PDP today and nothing will stop that.”
