A Whatsapp user (name withheld) has narrated how he was duped by someone who offered him an opportunity to purchase mobile date at lower rate.
He explained that his assailant also offered him a reduction in subscription for cable TV.
Speaking with InsightMedia, the victim gave the name of the fraudster as Mercy Adeyemo with the account number 8015935800 domiciled at Ecobank.
“She she sent me the advert broadcast and after some discussions, she sent her account number for me to pay. I sent the money to her account and since then she has refused to chat with me again. I later found out that she has blocked me”, he said.
advised his friends and other social media users to beware of this latest scam as he promised to always preach against it.
