I, Revd Richard Peters have officially declared my support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at all levels, not as a party man and this will in no way contradict my pastoral assignment nor my profession as a media consultant.
This decision is taken after due consultation with my community members in Uyo Senatorial District, my maternal family in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, and my in laws in Eket Senatorial District.
My determination to support the PDP is based on the leadership pattern of the party at all levels, its approach in handling events in the society, its developmental strides and maturity in handling the affairs of the nation.
It is glaringly clear that Nigerians have come to know the difference between light and darkness. Even children yet unborn can attest to the fact that the PDP stands for light, justice, fairness, equity, peace, transparency, truth and above all, growth and development.
On the other hand, Nigerians have come to the realization of the dangers of the mistake they made in 2015 by voting into power the APC government at the center. Today, almost all those who supported them then, have regretted their actions, and have openly denied their allegiance to them. This goes a long way to show that, even heaven has nothing to do with the APC.
It is time for all sane citizens of Nigeria to reject injustice, hunger, fear, hardship, darkness, persecution, terrorism, violence, kidnapping, blood bath, war and suffering by rejecting the APC government.
By this decision, I enjoin all my family members, friends, associates, and church members to stand by the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
We must enthrone light, peaceful coexistence, love and unity by our continuous support to Gov. Udom Emmanuel administration, and all the candidates on the platform of the PDP.
We must take our destinies in our hands and do what is right and just, for posterity. This is the best heritage and inheritance we must leave for our children: A peaceful and progressive society and future. This, we must do by supporting the PDP.
As for me and my house, we will support and stand by the Peoples Democratic Party.
So, help me God.
