Protesters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, temporarily blocked Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s convoy, demanding that he step out and address them.
This occurred on Saturday, the third day of the #EndBadGovernance protests.
Waving green leaves and shouting in excitement, the protesters lined the streets. After a brief standoff, the governor’s convoy passed by as the demonstrators continued their rally.
The protesters in Port Harcourt had regrouped for the third consecutive day of the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations, which began on August 1, 2024.
They gathered at Pleasure Park in the city, holding placards and insisting they would not disperse until their demands were met.
Saturday’s protests have remained largely peaceful across the Rivers State capital, with security operatives present at the scene.
