The request by the Akwa Ibom State chapter of (APC) for the relocation of election tribunal in the state to Abuja can be classified as mourning of losers, who because of shame have refused to accept defeat of the March 9th Governorship election, where the party and its leaders lost woefully, now resulting to a lonesome cry.
Their lonesome cry is evidenced in the complete desertion of their party’s candidate Mr. Nsima Ekere in the last election, where even his residence at Ewet housing has been abandoned by supporters who before now were seen over the place, but had since declared support for the man of grace and superior performance, Governor Udom Emmanuel.
It is a face saving tactics to start a tribunal relocation propaganda, knowing fully well that, Nsima Ekere, Godswill Akpabio ,Ita Enang ,Ini Okopido are all alone in this after the election, with the only option of going after elders and leaders who duped them during the election to seek refund of their monies.
As shameless and desperate as the APC in Akwa Ibom could get, as being reported in several medium, that the party has written to the Attorney General and Minister for justice to demand the relocation of the election tribunals from Akwa Ibom State to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory through a letter signed by the state chairman, Mr. Ini Okopido, spreading false allegations that the Resident electoral commissioner, Mr. Mike Igini in connivance with the Akwa Ibom state government and peoples Democratic party( PDP) were planning to destroy electoral materials, which according to the cheap lies by Okopido were needed to substantiate the election petition of the APC as the reason for the demand.
Election in Akwa Ibom state was the freest and fairest election I have witnessed in recent times, were voters turned out massively to vote for the PDP, after rejecting the evil plot and war saw antics by Nsima Ekere and Akpabio, to deceive the people by taking over power to return the state to a state of killings, kidnappings, assassinations, were so many prominent sons and daughters of this state lost their lives, and hardship became the order of the day.
It a complete blackmail by APC losers to drag a man of integrity, Mr. Mike Igini into an unnecessary war of words, after all the efforts put in to redeployed him failed. Saying that the Resident electoral commissioner Mr. Mike Igini has embarked on intimidating electoral officers who took part in the election, specifically the collation officers, supervisors, presiding officers, and assistant presiding officers, as well as handing their phone numbers to assassins to to concoct and fabricate false reports of violence, this is a cheap propaganda that will not fly.
Ini Okopido, Nsima Ekere, Akpabio are living in fools Paradise, by believing that they will go to court with fake results they sat at Ukana to write, and the court will consider it and do away with the authentic results as was collated, announced by the returning officers before the eyes of everybody at different units, wards and local governments across the state.
The reality APC in Akwa Ibom are yet to terms with, is the fact that what Abuja could not do during the election, they won’t be able to do after the election, because the units mights that defeated APC are still very much alive and very strong, in fact stronger than the so call federal might and always ready to defend the interest of the generality of the people of the state.
God denied APC victory at the just concluded election, because the party symbolizes darkness, and will deny them again at the tribunal.
I pity Mr. Nsima Ekere who allowed himself to be messed up in that manner by Akpabio and Ini Okopido and Esene Eyiboh who does nothing than to going around and brag with falsehood in form of press releases.
Obong Victor Attah from Uyo senatorial district did eight years as Governor, Senator Goodswill Akpabio from Ikot Ekpene senatorial did eight years as Governor, Governor Udom Emmanuel from Eket senatorial district will complete his eight years as Governor, this is the wish of true sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State, and not liars, hypocrites and blackmailers.
As confusing as they could get, the party is insisting that Mike Igini should be redeployed, so that the other parties can have free atmosphere to exercise their right, what wonders what rights this party of strange bedfellows are advocating after the tragic defeat of march 9th. This is the same Mike Igini that conducted elections in Edo state while the peoples democratic party ( PDP) was in power at the centre, but Comr. Adams Oshimole won as a governor under All Progressive Congress (APC), without being accused of working for PDP.
Like I have always said, APC as a party does not think well about the future of Akwa Ibom state, that is why they criticise every efforts made by the government of the state to ease suffering among the people.
We must all rise to resist all falsehood peddled by the APC and their retired politicians.
