Fayose chooses his successor

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has chosen his deputy Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka as the preferred candidate to succeed him.

The decision was reached during a meeting attended by former and serving ward chairmen in Ekiti state, councillors and state working council of PDP.

The personal assistant to the governor, Sunshine Anifowoshe made this known on his Facebook page on Wednesday, 6th September, 2017.

Before his foray into politics, Professor Eleka was a lecturer at the department of building, Obefemi Awolowo university, Ile-Ife, where he recently reached the rank of a professor.

Olusola, an indigene of Ikere Ekiti, which is the second largest town in Ekiti, was adopted before the commencement of a retreat organised for members to sensitise them ahead of the 2018 election.

If unanimously elected in the PDP primaries, he will be contesting the next year’s election against the candidate of APC as the main opposition party in the state.
