Pandemonium stuck the Ondo state command of Federal Road Safety Commission on during the weekend when one of its officers was killed by a reckless driver in Akure.
The officer, a native of of Omuo Ekiti, Ekiti state, who had barely spent six years in the job, was killed in front of the north gate of Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) by a veered of driver who crushed him to avoid a stationary articulated vehicle.
The state sector command declined to comment on the sad incident.
But Femi Joseph, the spokesman of the state police command, confirmed the incident, describing it as sad.He said the driver had been arrested and that investigation was ongoing to determine whether or not he would be charged to court.
