Dr. Ismail Abiodun Saka-Layonu, SAN, one of the Governorship aspirants on the platform of All Progressives Congress, (APC) has stated that creation of wealth is the topmost priority of his agenda for the State.
The legal luminary, stated this at his country home in Ede while fielding interview questions from the InsightMedia crew on Tuesday.
He succinctly explained that Governor Rauf Aregbesola has impressively improved on the path to making the State great and what the next APC administration in the State needed doing is to consolidate on the achievements of Aregbesola and create wealth for the citizens and residents of Osun.
He said “The most important thing we need in the State is the creation of wealth. We must improve our capacity to bake the cake as we have no problem with sharing it”.
If we do this, our youths will be gainfully employed, the economy will grow and develop, and the general standard of living will be raised to an enviable level.
Speaking further, he said, “one of the instruments to employ in achieving this is agriculture and youth development. The business of agriculture will be made attractive and more profitable for our youths to divert their vigour, energy, resourcefulness and idealism to.
While responding to questions on Education, the Ede indigene lauded the present government for putting in place beautiful edifices complemented with modern ICT facilities that are comparable with international standards and he promised to consolidate and improve on this to prepare our students for the challenges of the modern employment market that requires skills and talents beyond mere formal and paper qualifications.
Layonu also commended President Muhammadu Buhari for tactically tackling the menace of insurgency, insecurity and corruption. He expressed optimism for the success of PMB’s administration.
