Osun 2018 Governorship aspirant under the platform of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Professor Adeolu Durotoye stated that the yearnings of people of Osun state is for a positive change that will bring smiles to their faces.

The Osogbo-born politician made this known at his country home in Osogbo while feeding interview questions from the Insight Media correspondents.

He highlighted how he will turn Osun to economic hub for the country and make its people greater and more empowered.

He said “People are yearning for a positive change where hunger will be banished, where our students will no longer be number 29 in WAEC and NECO, out of 36 states, where parents who had suffered to train their children in school will be happy seeing those children gainfully employed”.

“People want a positive change where education will take its rightful place. A positive change where products that cannot be sold in Osun can be taken to Lagos market to sell on free train service. A positive change where the economy of the state will have a positive turn-around. A positive change where the Governor will know that governance is 20% politics and 80% economy”.

“With these changes I have mentioned, I believe the best thing my party can do is to make me the PDP candidate and with that we will issues a quit notice to APC.

The Academician spoke deeply on how he will rebuild the economy of the state by using the California as his template.

“We are going to make Osun to Nigeria what California is to United States of America. Osun will be the economic, industrial and technological hubs. I will facilitate five thousand jobs in all the Local Governments of the state”

“What we need to create is an enabling environment where private investments will flourish and this will automatically create employments for our young and vibrant youths who have been exposed to suffering by this present government” he added.
