Engr. Dr. Olayinka Taofeek Ayinde has praised indigenes and residents of Osun State for the confidence reposed in his party during the Saturday Local Government elections.
The Guber aspirant who casted his vote in the early hours of Saturday at his Oke Adan ward 3 Unit 10, praised the OSSIEC for the transparency of the process.
The aspirant was seen in a jubilant mood after the APC candidate, Mr Tunde Akinlawon was declared winner of unit 3 with 177 votes as against the 1vote recorded by Hon. Isiaka Ododo of the Accord party.
Engr. Olayinka in his words said ” I’m glad my party wins my polling unit with the widest margin and highest votes across the state (948) and I am the happiest because my party, APC has been declared the overall winners in wards across Iwo community and beyond”.
“I also commend the good people of Osun for the confidence reposed in APC as the only party that will always remain committed to their needs.
“I equally give kudos to the electoral umpire for the transparency and job diligently done.”
He again reiterated the roles played by the voters as without them nothing can be done.
“Our voters has gone a long way in making us whole but I will like to encourage our party leaders and political office holders to always remember their followers in all they do” he said.
