Mr. Tunde Adedotun Taiwo, Osun 2018 governorship aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress has congratulated all the elected Council officers in Osun State and urged them to use the offices to unite the state.
Mr. Taiwo said this in a congratulatory message he personally signed and forwarded to InsightMedia.
The message reads in part, “I want to congratulate us for this mind blowing victory. It hasn’t been easy. Some of us must have received all sort of insults and created loads of enemies during the course of campaign in one way or the other, some of us had sleepless nights, some were restless all through.
“Hence, we thank God who made it possible for Osun State to conduct a violence-free, peaceful and successful local government election. Now that the election has come and gone, and the mandates have been given to the chosen ones, I want all the elected ones to see their victories as rare opportunities to make every nooks and crannies of their various local government areas better places to be. I want them to see their overwhelming victories as driving forces to further transform their areas and to commend the giant strides of the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.”
“I use this medium to call on the elected candidates to see this victories as a moral burden on them to unite and galvanize Osun State and her people, spread developments across their local government areas, and avoid the pitfalls of the past leaders,” it continues.
The Apomu-born business mogul also reminded the councillors of the task ahead which is the September 22nd governorship election.
He added “However, their reigns should not do anything that will bring about regrets. Let’s congratulate ourselves for once, that we are getting it right and getting just there soon. September 22, 2018 is another historical date, let’s now work towards it for a better, well prepared and organised election year in Osun State.”
