The Erstwhile Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning in the State of Osun, Dr. Adewale Bolorunduro m, has enjoined Christians and indeed all Nigerians to pursue peace during this Easter period and beyond.
In a statement released by his Media Office in Ilesa on Friday and obtained by InsightMedia, Dr. Bolorunduro called on Nigerians to eschew all forms of rancour and live peacefully with one another just as Jesus Christ exemplified and taught his followers through his life of sacrifice, sanctity and dedication.
The Ex – Commissioner, who is also the Leader of the Bibiire Political Group said “Easter is a period to reflect on the unconditional love that Christ had and still has for mankind such that he laid down his life for the remission of our sins”.
“Nigerians should emulate Jesus who did not discriminate or cause anyone harm during his ministry on earth. Anywhere he went, he was doing good. He lived peacefully with all men, even with those who disliked him”, He added.
Dr. Wale Bolorunduro also charged Christians and fellow Nigerians of diverse faiths at large to model Jesus Christ by loving their neighbours just as themselves and be their brother’s keeper.
