Dr Ismail Abiodun Saka-Layonu, an APC governorship hopeful under the shade of the All Progressives Congress has emphasized his strong belief that his party will emerge victorious n the September 22nd election in Osun State but the party must have its flag bearer from Osun west senatorial district.
The Legal Luminary aired this belief while speaking with newsmen at the venue of APC national convention in Abuja on Saturday.
He added that the sterling performance of his party in Osun and Nigeria is enough to give the party a landslide victory in the 2018 and 2019 elections.
The Ede-born politician advised the party hierarchy to look inward in Osun and present a credible candidate from Osun west in the spirit of fairness, equity and justice to the zone.
He said, “I have no doubt that APC will win Osun governorship election come September 22nd. But the candidate of the party must come from Osun west senatorial district.
“The agitation is part of beauty of democracy and it’s a right. We’ve worked with other zones and I believe this is our time. We have been pleading with stakeholders to look into this and support us.
When probed about his aspiration, Saka-Layonu said “What I have for Osun people is everything that will guarantee them better future. The security, welfare, education and improved economy.
“I want to continue from where Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has stopped. He has laid foundation and now it’s a matter of raising the state to a greater height and making sure that we create more wealth. I believe I’m the best to do that.
