Alh Gboyega Oyetola, one of the leading governorship aspirants under the platform of All Progressives Congress’s in the forthcoming September 22,2018 Osun governorship election has vowed to work towards getting Ile-Ife recognised as a World Heritage site if elected.

Oyetola the current Chief of Staff to the governor of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola made the disclosure while addressing party faithfuls who came out en mass to receive him at St Peter high school, Omi Okun, Ife East local government, venue of his maiden outing to canvass and solicit party’ members support in the upcoming primary election on July 7, 2018

According to the Press statement made available to Newsmen by the Spokesperson of IleriOluwa Campaign Organization Princess Dayo Fasola , Oyetola observed that Ile Ife is filled with uncountable wonders and heritage site; many of which his government would liaise with the world’s Organization like UNESCO and other bodies responsible for listing to process, verify through carbon dating and make the recognition a reality, if elected.

The Iragbiji-born politician assured all present that he would put in his best to compliment the efforts of His Imperial Majesty the Ooni of Ife Kabiyesi Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojaja ll towards ensuring that the Yoruba Town, Ile Ife takes its pride of place in the world’s reckoning.

He took people down the Memory Lane on how Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola worked with the UNESCO and made it possible to acknowledge Osun Osogbo Grove as a world heritage site

In their respective welcome address, Hon Rotimi Makinde a former house of Representative member and Sooko Adeleke Adewoyin former deputy governor under the Alliance for Democracy welcomed Oyetola to Ile Ife. They assured him of their support, that of all their loyalists and the progressive people of Ile Ife.

They were unanimous that Oyetola’s appeal as a Technocrat and as a Team Leader shines brighter than the rest candidates.

They however, enjoined all present to work hard towards his emergence in the July 7th Primary election.

Other notable APC Chieftains present at the occasion such as Hon Biyi Odunlade, Prince Sikiru Ayedun, , Alhaji Tajudeen Lawal, Engr Kassim Salami, Mr Gbenga Akano, Prof Olorede among other dignitaries took turns to speak on the person of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and their confidence in his capability to take the mantle from Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola whom they described as a ‘governor extraordinaire’

Ife East local government which is home to the eastern part of Ile Ife, acknowledged to be the cradle of the Yoruba race played host to Mr Gboyega Oyetola and the Ileri Oluwa campaign team as the first of Osun’s 30 local government to be visited.

The entourage thereafter proceeded to Ifetedo in Ife South local government and Area Office where they were well received by The townspeople and APC Enthusiasts.
